I'm currently updating the server to 1.7.2
BUT this won't be a quick update because I want to do it right and save all the things I promised to save. If it goes into tomorrow, I'm sorry I have to go to school first, but it will be done as soon as possible. Sorry for not doing it sooner, I have been away and unaware that there was a server jar ready to be used. I'll post here when it's all done, or the server will be online with a new 1.7 motd.
Also remember if there is a whitelist on the server, it's not you, it's us. After all the file junk is done we have to add back in the spawn, world borders, warps and other things.
If you're super lazy and want me to email/text you when it's done, message me with a way to contact you.

P.S. I'm leaving the server offline overnight (AKA: The ten minutes I'm not awake working on it) because I already deleted all the overworld homes and logout positions and I REALLY DON'T WANNA DO IT AGAIN IT IS THE MAXIMUM OPPOSITE OF FUN I KID YOU NOT IT IS LIKE DEATH x 7banana2

OK. News. Hm. Well here is what I wish I could say:
Everything is going great! A little behind schedule due to some minor complications in getting the jar uploaded, but now that it's going smoothly it should be done fairly quickly ^_^ !
But what I am going to tell you is this:
The jar I used was SUPPOSED to be a full 1.7.2 server jar. I had a hell of a time trying to get it uploaded because Filezilla hates me and the support at my hosting service is a joke. So that, in total, took me two days to get uploaded. But in the mean time I was saving backups of all the stuff and preparing it for the new files. Once I got to the player info (the part with all the homesets) I made sure that the jar would be full 1.7.2 and instead of saving a backup of EVERY PLAYER THAT HAS EVER BEEN ONLINE (one by one clicking download > save over and over with a slow computer) I decided to just delete all the Overworld homes directly from the only copy in the control panel. Well. Here's where things go wrong. First the jar is NOT full 1.7.2, it just ports it over so 1.7.2 can connect but there are no new blocks or maps and I cannot for the life of me find a real jar that works. I've tried at least 9 different ones today now that I found a way to upload jars, but none are the actual thing. SO ~ I should just be able to put the old jar in and start up with the old settings, right? WRONG! I deleted all the Overworld homes.
So there's the honest truth. I have everything ready. If I had a proper jar, then the update would take half an hour. So if you happen to have a jar that works or just a solution to this problem- that'd be great.
At this point I only really have two choices (unless you provide me with more). 1. Reset the Overworld with the ported 1.7.2 jar and just have another map reset when an official bukkit DEV comes out. 2. Open the server in Vanilla with no items / plugins. (So basically you don't lose anything from before but you also do not get any of that stuff. It'll be like a brand new single player with lots of people and all the old items/homes/maps will be saved elsewhere until the DEV is ready.)

So, if I read that correctly, if we don't go vanilla, the over world will be reset again? That kinda defeats the purpose of updating for me since I was hoping the update would let me build in the over world. If I had to choose, I'd say go vanilla. I don't mind as long as we can tp to our non-over world homes when Bukkit updates. Also, since we have a set spawn point, will we be able to use beds to mark our homes if we die?

Yes it will be full out Vanilla. It's like forgetting the old server until Bukkit pulls through then those homes, items, and inventories come back. (This will be 1.7.2, too). Beds will actually mean something for a little while.
